Art Quilts

Creating Art Quilts is a special love of mine. I relish working with the client to help their vision be translated into cloth, either hand dyed by me or commercially printed and purchased. When I undertake a commission, all the work is done by me, and a written contract/proposal is presented before I start. Size is rarely an issue, I have worked on pieces three feet by three feet and twelve feet by fourteen feet. Contact me for more information.

St. Peter Claver Church, Lexington, Ky
This is a twelve by fourteen foot quilt with removable quilted ovals for each of the five liturgical seasons.
Most all of the fabrics were hand dyed by me to compliment the existing colors in the sanctuary. Completed in 2002.

This quilt was commissioned by a photographer to grace their living room wall. It is based on a photo taken by the patron (left). It measures forty inches by forty inches and is created of custom hand dyed silks, cottons and nylon net. Completed in 2006.

Camden Carrol Library Quilts, Morehead State University, Morehead, Ky

These quilts were commissioned to hang over the circulation desk when finished, with the possibility of being moved to a long wall above some book shelves, twelve feet up. They are designed to be displayed next to each other with the landscape lines continuing from one quilt to the other. Each quilt measures four by eight feet and is made of hand dyed cottons. There are pieces in the border with names of the contributors sewn on.
